Glenna began studying piano when she was seven, and had earned her Grade 8 through the Royal Conservatory of Music by the time she was fourteen. In the local band program she played French horn, trumpet, or snare drum, as needed, and she still plays in the Arcola Community Band. However, she always loved the harp, and as soon as she had the opportunity, she focused upon harp as her primary instrument.

When she graduated from high school, Glenna faced the difficult choice of pursuing a career in music or in engineering. She decided to go with engineering as her primary occupation. As an Industrial Systems Engineer, Glenna, P.Eng. has held management positions and developed significant process improvements in several companies:

Glenna continued to work on music as much as she could through her education and career. Her first public harp performance was at a relative's wedding. After that, she started getting more and more requests. That was many years ago. Now, Glenna plays regularly for a wide variety of events. She often plays with flautist and composer, Laura Pettigrew.
